A nearly perfect summer day:
1. Just chillaxin' in the tree
2. Ok Birds. I've got the squirrel covered. The feeders are all yours.
3. Looks like tomatoes are in our future.
4. Today's blueberry and raspberry jam. I'll give most of these away with loaves of homemade bread. (hmm.... maybe I should have strained the raspberry!)
5. Dinner on the grill. Herb roasted chicken and veggies.
6. Dinner on the plate with a glass of Rioja.
7. Early evening bike ride on the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail.
And last, but certainly not least:
8. Mudslide at the Saginaw Lawn Chair Film Festival.
Yes, all in all, a nearly perfect day. And what would make it more perfect? More family and friends, of course. I sure am looking forward to seeing both kids next weekend!
Today I am grateful for the joys of a summer day.
So glad to be part of your 8 on the 8th -- it was great seeing you tonight! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteAh yes, credit on the last photo goes to Nancy! Check her out on Shiny Things (link on right of this page). And for the record, not that it matters, a Mudslide is a frappucino-type drink from a local coffee shop. Not pounding down the other type at midnight on Sunday. :-)
